Biography

I come from New Zealand and with my husband, have spent many years travelling and teaching in international schools. For many years, our two children were with us on this adventure, but now they are all grown up. This is my first time in Uzbekistan and I am very much looking forward to exploring the country and the culture. I have taught a wide range of ages, including adults.  However, my favourite levels are Years 3 and 4.  I have also spent several years teaching English as a Foreign language.  I am very passionate about ‘hands on’ learning – we learn by doing. I also believe that most essential to learning is a strong three-way communication between parent, child and teacher.  As hobbies, I enjoy gardening, all forms of history, reading and learning languages. When I can, I also like to improve my skills in traditional Maori weaving techniques of New Zealand.
