Biography

Mandy is from South Africa, training there as a Drama teacher; she has a vast experience of teaching and working as an HOD in schools in South Africa, the UK, Qatar, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. Mandy has established and managed Drama departments for many years and has spent her career promoting and developing a love of the arts and performance in her students. Mandy completed her MA Education (Drama) from Middlesex University in 2017 and also recently established a private Drama school in the UK. Her area of particular interest in performance is storytelling with masks and physical theatre. Mandy believes that Drama is relevant to today’s culture, connecting people, promoting mental health, and developing transferable skills, which are skills for life. Mandy enjoys travel and exploring new cultures and is looking forward to the move to Tashkent and working at WIST from September.
