Biography

Before transitioning to education, David Tingstrom had a background as a scientist specializing in molecular genetics. With 20 years of experience in teaching, primarily with teenage students, David Tingstrom is dedicated to helping all students enhance their language skills, regardless of their initial proficiency. He believes that, despite advancements in technology, language remains the core means of communication. To be competitive both academically and professionally, young people must be adept at processing information and effectively expressing their knowledge and ideas. Prior to joining WIST, David Tingstrom acquired extensive international experience by teaching in Sweden, China, Switzerland, and Malaysia, where most students were English Language Learners. He is excited about the opportunity to help students at WIST achieve their full potential for future success.
