Supporting Charity!

What a great Term 1 for Secondary students! Not only have they been working hard in their studies and sports activities, they have also actively participated, worked together and engaged the whole school to contribute to important social activity projects locally and globally.

For PinkTober, over 1400000 sums was raised to support women’s health through international programs by The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. To celebrate Movember, over 8500000 sums was raised for Movember.com to support their research, care and education for men’s health globally. Winter Spirit Day this year was closer to home as 7800000 sums was raised for Taskin (meaning solace) Hospice; the first hospice for children in Uzbekistan. Last but not least, Year 12 student Sevinch spearheaded a paper-for-recycling campaign that will continue into Term 2. Together with her Student Council members, they collected over 290kg of paper and raised 865000 sums for this term.

A grand total of 18 565 000 sums was raised to support charity! Well done to all the students and teachers for showing your care and generosity. We look forward to your new social activity projects for Term 2.
